Barbara Ann Murray
After graduating from Fordham Law school in 1979, and being admitted to the New York State and Federal Bars, Ms. Murray specialized in municipal and corporate finance at Brown, Wood, Ivey, Mitchell & Petty in New York City (now Sidley Austin, LLC).
In 1987, Ms. Murray decided to take a hiatus from her legal practice to devote time to raising her three children while remaining active in many charitable and community functions and organizations in Westchester County. For example, she became chairperson of the Briarcliff PTA, served on the Board of Directors of the Ossining Food Pantry and was active in various other charitable and community events as an active member of the local chapter of the Women’s Junior League of Westchester County. She also served as a member of the Parish Council of her local church and continues to remain active in many of these organizations as she returns to the full time practice of law.
In her current practice, Ms. Murray specializes in contract interpretation, litigation, and insurance coverage matters. She is admitted to practice law in the New York State Courts and in the Federal Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
